Conceptual design for a mixed use building in the redevelopment of San Francisco's historic Pier 70 district.
We stepped the structure at the corners to maximizes views to downtown San Francisco for as many units as possible and to prevent the new building from looming over the existing neighborhood.
A central courtyard opens up to the waterfront edge and provides a semi-private outdoor space to all the residents as well as office spaces.
A tall and glassy ground floor plan will introduce new retail and commercial activity but scaled for smaller, local businesses.
